Lauren Edwards is a Labour and Co-operative councillor for Rochester East & Warren Wood ward and the cabinet portfolio holder for economic and social regeneration and inward investment. She has represented Rochester East & Warren Wood ward since May 2023.

In addition to Rochester East & Warren Wood, Lauren represented Rochester East ward between December 2021 and May 2023.

Lauren has stood in two elections to Medway council, and was elected on both occasions.

* During the 2020 coronavirus (Covid-19) public health emergency, it was informally agreed between the two political groups to run Medway Council meetings with a reduced number of participants. This was to reduce risk, comply with Government guidance and enable more efficient meetings. Lauren Edwards's attendance rate may have been affected by this informal agreement of reduced participants.
