An election was held in Rochester No 2 division on 5 May 1977 to elect two councillors.
Prior to the election, both of the seats were held by Labour. Following the election, the Conservatives gained both of the seats from Labour.
Ms. O. Heyes and R. Gawler were elected as councillors for the division.
