An election was held in Gravesend on 14 December 1918 to elect a member of parliament for the constituency.
It was the first election to take place in the constituency following a boundary review. At this election, Unionist won the seat with a majority of 4,587.
Alexander Richardson was elected as the member of parliament for Gravesend.
