An election was held in Warren Wood ward on 7 May 1987 to elect three councillors.
Prior to the election, the Conservatives held two of the seats and Labour held the other seat. Following the election, the Conservatives held two of the seats and the SDP-Liberal alliance gained the reamining seat from Labour.
D. Hubbard, J. Crow and Ms. C. Thomas were elected as councillors for the ward.
