Local Development Framework: Submission Stage Development Plan (Amendment)

Motion

Members received a report which sought authority to submit for public examination two development plan documents which will, in due course, amend the council's policy framework.

Councillor Mrs Chitty proposed the cabinet's recommendations as set out in paragraph 10 of the council report.

Amendment

The following amendment was proposed by Councillor Godwin and supported by Councillor Harriott:

That recommendation 10.1 of the report was amended to read:

The cabinet recommends to council the formal submission of the core strategy and mixed use development plan documents, subject to the percentage of affordable housing in policy HMU 05 being 35% (25% socially rented and 10% intermediate housing) (as appended) to the Government Office and Planning Inspectorate in accordance with s20(3) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and regulation 28 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004.

On being put to the vote, the amendment was lost.
