Rochester By-election

A by-election was held in Rochester on 19 July 1870 to elect a member of parliament for the constituency following the death of Liberal MP John Kinglake.
Prior to this election, the Liberals held the seat. At this election, they held the seat with a majority of 437.
Julian Goldsmid was elected as the member of parliament for Rochester.
