An election was held in St Margaret's and Borstal ward on 4 May 2000 to elect three councillors.
Prior to the election, the Conservatives held two of the seats and Labour held the other seat. Following the election, the Conservatives held two of the seats and gained the reamining seat from Labour.
Edward Winton Baker, Susan Jennifer Haydock and Leslie Alan Wicks were elected as councillors for the ward.
