An election was held in Luton ward on 7 June 1973 to elect six councillors.

It was the first election to be held in the ward following a boundary review. .

Robert Bean, J. Buck, Bill Davis, B. Delay, J. Goddon and R. Horner were elected as councillors for the ward.
