An election was held in Frindsbury Extra ward on 7 June 1973 to elect three councillors.
It was the first election to be held in the ward following a boundary review. the Conservatives won two of the new seats and Labour won the remaining new seat.
R. Tomsett, Tom Mason and J. Matthews were elected as councillors for the ward.
