An election was held in Frindsbury Extra ward on 6 May 1976 to elect three councillors.
Prior to the election, the Conservatives held two of the seats and Labour held the other seat. Following the election, the Conservatives held two of the seats and gained the reamining seat from Labour.
Tom Mason, J. Matthews and J. Thomas were elected as councillors for the ward.
