Independent Conservative Councillors

Independent Conservative councillors are typically former Conservative party councillors who have either resigned the group whip or had the group whip suspended. They may also seek election as independent Conservatives, but to date no one has stood for election to Medway council as an independent Conservative.

Although it is not an official party designation, individuals may wish to describe themselves as independent Conservatives to distinguish themselves from other independent candidates or members of the council.

There are currently no independent Conservative councillors on Medway council. However, since 1998 there have been two individuals who have sat as independent Conservative councillors but who are no longer members of the council.

All dates shown reflect unbroken terms of office as independent Conservative members.
