George Smith

George Smith is a former Liberal Democrat councillor for Watling Street ward on Gillingham borough council. He represented the ward between May 1992 and March 1998.

In addition to Watling Street, George represented Gillingham South West division on Kent county council between May 1993 and March 1998, and Brompton ward on Gillingham borough council as a Liberal Democrat councillor between March 1988 and May 1992, as an SDP-Liberal alliance councillor between June 1981 and March 1988, and as a Liberal councillor between May 1980 and June 1981.

George has stood in one election to Medway council, six elections to Gillingham borough council and two elections to Kent county council, and has been elected on six occasions.
