Rochester By-election

A by-election was held in Rochester on 14 June 1878 to elect a member of parliament for the constituency following the death of Liberal MP Philip Wykeham-Martin.
Prior to this election, the Liberals held the seat. At this election, they held the seat with a majority of 280.
Arthur Otway was elected as the member of parliament for Rochester.
