John Avey is a former Conservative councillor for Strood South ward. He represented the ward between May 2007 and May 2019.
In addition to Strood South, John represented Temple Farm ward on Rochester-upon-Medway city council between May 1987 and May 1991.
John has stood in four elections to Medway council and three elections to Rochester-upon-Medway city council, and has been elected on four occasions.
